Windows Film FAQS

A micro-thin material which allows adequate sunlight with less heat and UV rays. When applied to the interior of your windows, the film acts as an “invisible shield” that rejects up to 80% of the sun’s heat. In the summertime, your home is cooler and more comfortable. Only if the incorrect film is applied to a particular glass situation, there is a potential for the glass to crack because of thermal stress. However, our technicians are trained to be aware of these situations. As a back up to this there is a factory warranty that covers glass breakage for three years.
Nothing will completely stop the fading of your furnishings because fading factors such as humidity, other visible light, color fastness of fabrics, and other factors also contribute to fading. But you can reduce fading anywhere from 40% to 75% depending on the film that you choose and still have a beautiful view out of that glass. Therefore a piece of furniture that would otherwise fade in 5 years may now last 20 years!
The film reduces the three controllable characteristics of the sun’s fading rays. These are Ultra Violet light, solar radiation and visible light. Different films control different amounts of each of the three.
