Single-Hung Windows

Single hung window is characterized by two pieces. One frame, generally movable, is placed on under another frame which is generally fixed. Single hung windows are perhaps the most common style of window in the United States today. Single hung replacement windows have a few advantages that make them the common choice. While fixed windows cannot open, single hung windows can be opened to allow air flow into and out of your home. With fewer seams than a double hung window they are also considered more and more energy efficient.

Double-Hung Windows

Double-hung windows are made up of a lower and upper window pane that slides vertically past one another but exist in a single casement. This traditional window style is made up of multiple solid panes of glass which can then be made to appear sub divided for design features, and have two groves with jabs that enable individual windows to move independently from any others.
